Ara’s Carrot Stew

We have a book at the moment which is being read a lot….Bunny in a hurry….and at the end of the day Bunny gets to make and eat carrot stew.

Recipe from Ara

2.5 carrots (as half is eaten while being pealed)

3 potato

4-9 handfuls of peal barley

Vegetable stock to cover

Salt and Pepper to taste…Mum’s taste

Method: Get Mum to cook the barley over a low head until its toasted and smells nice. While she’s doing that wash the potato (leave the skin on even though I don’t like it because Mum said its good for me) peal the carrots because its a skill worth learning. Get Mum to chop all the carrots and potato up into chunks then put them in a pot. Get out mixing jug and fill it to about 750mls (or what ever as long as it covers the veg) I’m going to use a stock cube becasue I like to unwrap them but you can use real stuff or boxed stuff. Mix with a spoon. Then pour all over the veg and cook unilt baley is done….its sooooo long but at the end its sooo good.
